Formed in 1865, The Military  Order of the Loyal Legion of The United States is one of the oldest veterans and hereditary organizations still in existence in the country. MOLLUS membership was originally granted to Union officers of the Civil War and is now open to their descendants.

MOLLUS is composed of a National Commandery-in-Chief and individual state Commanderies. There are currently 18 Commanderies and one Provisional Commandery. The Ohio Commandery was created May 3, 1882.

Please take some time to read about our remarkable history and our equally active role in our country today.

We would appreciate hearing from you whether you have Civil War officer ancestors or no, and we look forward to meeting you at our next Commandery gathering.
